Sustainability
Audited factories, recycled materials and a solar division
Sustainability claims in the promotional products industry are frequently unverifiable. Ours are tied to three things a buyer can check: third-party social compliance audits on our own factories, certified recycled and renewable material inputs, and an operating green energy division in the Philippines developing solar photovoltaic projects.
Social Compliance
Audited annually, by third parties, on our own facilities
Because the group owns its production rather than brokering to third-party factories, audit access does not depend on a supplier granting permission. Our facilities are audited on an annual re-audit cycle.
BSCI
Business Social Compliance Initiative audit, covering working hours, wages, freedom of association, and occupational health and safety.
ISO 9001
Quality Management System certification underpinning the documented process controls, corrective-action workflow and traceability that our FMCG and retail customers require.
Audits are conducted by Bureau Veritas and Intertek on an annual re-audit cycle. Current reports and corrective-action closures are available to qualified buyers under NDA — email tinson@teemway.net.
Materials
Certified recycled and renewable inputs
We work with certified material inputs rather than unverified "eco" descriptions. Available across our drinkware and merchandise lines:
- rPET — post-consumer recycled polyethylene terephthalate, supplied with GRS (Global Recycled Standard) or RCS (Recycled Claim Standard) transaction certificates so recycled content can be evidenced downstream.
- Bamboo and natural fibre — for lids, bodies and gift components where a renewable input is preferred to a recycled one.
- Recycled paper and board packaging — FSC-certified stock available for retail-ready packaging, with plastic-free pack-out options.
- Food-contact compliant grades — FDA and EU food-contact material compliance maintained on all beverage-consumption lines, including recycled-content constructions.
Because recycled-content claims carry legal exposure in the EU and California, we supply the certification chain with the goods rather than asking customers to take the claim on trust.
Green Energy Division
Teemway Philippines — solar photovoltaic development
Established in 2024, Teemway Philippines Inc. is both a Southeast Asia sourcing hub and the group's green energy division.
Project pipeline development
The division develops solar photovoltaic project pipelines in the Philippine domestic market, and evaluates energy-storage and charging hardware sourcing to pair with PV installations. About the Philippines office
Why an operating division, not a pledge
Rather than publishing carbon-neutrality targets we cannot yet substantiate, the group has put capital into an operating renewable-energy business. Progress on that business is reportable; a pledge is not.
On past cooperation. A memorandum of understanding covering BYD ESS and EV charger product interest was effective October 2023 for a 12-month term and expired in October 2024. It is not currently active and Teemway Group is not an authorized BYD distributor. Historical record →
What We Do Not Claim
Transparency about the limits
We think it is more useful to state what is not yet true than to imply it is:
- We do not currently publish a verified Scope 1–3 carbon inventory for the group.
- We do not claim carbon neutrality or net-zero status for any facility or product line.
- We do not describe a product as "sustainable" without a certification chain behind the specific material used in that order.
- Recycled-content percentages are stated per programme, per material, and evidenced by transaction certificate — not as a blanket group figure.
Where a customer's own ESG reporting requires data we do not yet hold, we will say so at quotation stage rather than at audit stage.
